Volunteering

Welcome

How Can I Help?

Wilderstein's group of dedicated volunteers contribute their time and talents to a wide range of enriching and vital assignments that are necessary for the operation of the site.  Each year, volunteers give hundreds of hours as tour guides, curatorial staff, and landscape personnel.  They also help plan events, serve on committees, and sometimes even work on restoration projects.

Visitors are often impressed by the detailed knowledge and personal attention they receive from our many volunteers.  Some of the benefits of volunteering at Wilderstein include:

  • Working in a beautiful and historic environment.

  • Learning about the history of the Hudson Valley through workshops, training, and special educational programs offered specifically for Wilderstein Volunteers.

  • Meeting visitors from around the nation and the world.

  • Building long-lasting friendships.

We are always looking for people who would like to share in this rewarding experience.  For more information about current volunteer opportunities at Wilderstein, please click here or call the Wilderstein Office at 845.876.4818.
